What is an EWP Major Inspection?
A major inspection is a comprehensive assessment of an EWP to ensure it remains structurally sound, safe, and compliant with Australian Standards.
Unlike routine servicing, a major inspection involves:

- Inspection of pins, bushes and wear components
- Hydraulic system assessment
- Electrical and control system testing
- Non-destructive testing (where required)
- Full strip-down of critical components

When is a Major Inspection required?
In Australia, most EWPs require a major inspection at 10 years from the date of manufacture, and then at regular intervals after that.
However, inspections may also be required earlier depending on:

- Signs of wear, damage, or fatigue
